Raiola names Juventus as possible Haaland destination
The future of Erling Haaland is very much the focus of the summer transfer window and his agent Mino Raiola has now added another club to the possible list of suitors for the Norwegian.
However, Borussia Dortmund are still seemingly standing firm on the striker’s future.
“That’s what they’ve said. Now let’s see if that desire is still there through to the 1st of September,” said Raiola regarding Dortmund’s resolves to keep the Norwegian.
“Today, the official stance of Dortmund is this. But I’ve got another view, I think that if a good opportunity comes up and everyone would be happy, we’ll put it on the table.”
The super-agent says that money is not a motivation and that goals and trophies remain at the forefront of Haaland’s mind.
“Haaland is interested in two things. Scoring goals, because he’s a little bit like Cristiano or Zlatan… it’s his obsession, in a positive way. And winning titles. No doubt he’ll pick somewhere where he feels those two things go together best for him,” he said,
“It’s really hard to lie. When a club like Barcelona or Real Madrid comes in for you, with so much history and being such a big club, it’s hard to say no.
“PSG is getting into his group of big clubs, City is trying, Juve have always been there. The league they play in is important too. PSG plays in the worst league of the big clubs. Bayern are in an attractive league, but we know they always win it. In Spain there are three clubs with a chance.”
Whatever occurs, should Haaland move, although money is claimed not be be a motivator, the finances involved could become some of the largest the sport has ever seen.
Zorc wants Terzic stay despite Marco Rose appointment
Since the departure of Lucien Favre earlier in the season, Edin Terzic has taken over until Borussia Monchengladbach coach Marco Rose joins BVB at the end of the season.
Dortmund have struggled hugely this season and sit outside the top 4. However, Terzic has managed to pull off four back to back wins in the league which sees them sit just 1 point behind 4th placed Frankfurt.
This has impressed the bosses not only within BVB but other clubs who are supposedly interested.
The man who claimed Dortmund have no intention of selling Haaland has also come out to say he wants Terzic as part of Rose’s coaching setup.
“We are definitely planning to have Edin in the coaching team for next season. We hope that nothing will change in this regard. But the prices for coaches are rising right now, so we’ll wait and see,” he joked.
Terzic himself has said he is happy as both the number 1 and as an assistant so will take things ‘day-to-day.’
“It was clear to me that this question would come. I don’t want to play this game. Football is a day-to-day business. I’m very happy in the position I’m in now, but I was also very happy in the position I was in before.”
“We have made it clear what my future will look like. At the moment, there is only one topic for me: we want to get into the Champions League and, if possible, bring the cup to Dortmund.”
Terzic will now focus on continuing to try and get BVB into the Champions league qualification spots for Marco Rose to take over in the summer.
He will not need to concern himself with the drama of Haaland this summer and purely take attention to getting the best from the Norwegian until his job is done.
