Gonzalo Higuain’s agent and brother has confirmed the striker will leave Juventus this summer – and has received an approach to return to the Premier League.
The 32-year-old Argentina forward has won three Serie A titles and three Coppa Italias during his time in Italy. However, after Maurizio Sarri’s sacking, Higuain always appeared likely to move on.
Now Higuain’s brother has confirmed the former Chelsea and Napoli man will leave Juventus. His ‘client’ appears to be a man in demand too, with others coming in from all over the world. There is also confirmed interest from an unnamed Premier League club.
However, Nicola Higuain insist none of the approaches “make their legs shake”. Furthermore, he states the experienced striker will take time to consider his next move.
Reflecting on Andrea Pirlo’s honesty over Higuain, his brother told Tuttosport: “We appreciated Pirlo’s honesty.
He told Gonzalo what he thought. It doesn’t always happen, and it was important.
“We are still talking about a striker who has scored 350 goals in recent years. To achieve that tally, it takes 10 years. Then unfortunately, we forget quickly.
“We are in football and we know that these things can happen.”
Serie A adventure over for Higuain
Higuain’s brother claims the former River Plate striker will never move to Boca Juniors and confirmed he will not continue in Serie A.
“[There’s interest] from France, England, Spain, China and USA. Many offers, but none that makes your leg shake.
“We will evaluate calmly, but two things are certain; Gonzalo won’t play in Italy and, above all, he will never play for Boca Juniors.
“He grew up at River and will never go to a rival.”
