UFC legend Khabib Nurmagomedov reveals Ronaldo informed him of Man United move ‘a month ago’

Cristiano Ronaldo was prepping for a move back to Manchester United long before the deal was actually completed, it has been revealed.

Ronaldo is back

The headline news not only at Old Trafford, but across the globe over the last week, has of course come in the form of Ronaldo’s Man United return.

On the back of three years on the books of Serie A heavyweights Juventus, CR7, ahead of the transfer deadline, made clear his desire to seek out pastures new.

In turn, when Bianconeri boss Max Allegri confirmed his star attacker’s imminent exit during a press conference last Friday, attentions quickly turned towards where exactly Ronaldo could end up next.

The initial front-runners to strike a deal came in the form of Premier League champions Manchester City, of course on the lookout for a replacement for the departed Sergio Aguero.

However, upon word coming to the fore that the Sky Blues had surprisingly opted to pull the plug on their Ronaldo swoop, it swiftly became clear where the 36-year-old was set to end up.

In turn, just hours later, the announcement which fans across the globe were awaiting was finally forthcoming.

CR7 opted to take his talents back to Old Trafford, for a 2nd spell with Manchester United:

‘He told me…’

As outlined above, however, if a recent revelation on the part of one of Ronaldo’s close friends is anything to go by, then it appears that the ex-Real Madrid man was in fact planning for a move back to Manchester long before his arrival was actually made official.

Speaking to reporters in Moscow this week, Khabib Nurmagomedov was drawn on the Portuguese’s Premier League return.

And the UFC legend, known to hold close ties with Ronaldo, went on to explain:

‘A month ago, he told me that he was moving to Manchester United.’

Khabib continued:

‘I expected this deal to take place. I think that Manchester United is more suitable for him than Juventus. For me, the transition was not a surprise.’
