Manchester United boost as Anthony Martial resumed training on Monday

Manchester United have, on Tuesday, received some positive news regarding Anthony Martial.

Roma vs Man United

Manchester United are back in Europa League action on Thursday evening.

The Red Devils are of course set to play out their second of two semi-final meetings with Italian outfit AS Roma, with this tie taking place at the Stadio Olimpico.

The game, however, is in truth of little importance to Manchester United, who have already all but secured their spot in this season’s Europa League final.

This comes with Man United having earned themselves a staggering 6-2 win over Roma in the previous tie.

The Italians did actually take a 2-1 lead into the break at Old Trafford. But thanks to some injury woes on the part of the away outfit and some quality from United, they eventually put five past Roma in the second half.

The latest of Anthony Martial

Ahead of Thursday’s game, Man United look to have been handed a boost on the personnel front.

Anthony Martial limped off in France’s 2-0 win over Kazakhstan at the end of March and has been sidelined since.

However, as per Sport Witness citing French outlet L’Equipe, Martial would resume training with Man United on Monday.

The forward, though, does not look set to play any part for the Red Devils this week, with SW going to explain that Martial will not be fit enough to take on Roma or face off with Aston Villa at the weekend:
