Brazil fans make Raphinha plea after Leeds star’s game-changing intro vs Venezuela

Supporters of the Brazilian national team have taken to social media in their droves, to send a message to boss Tite, over Leeds United star Raphinha.

Marquinhos amongst the goals

The Selecao were of course back in action on Thursday night.

In their latest qualifier for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, Tite and co. made the trip to the Estadio Olímpico de la UCV, aiming to keep their flawless campaign alive courtesy of a ninth win from nine.

And, when all was said and done, this is precisely what Brazil managed.

Their eventual victory, however, did not come without its challenges.

With 45 minutes played in Venezuela, it was in fact the hosts who boasted the advantage, owing to an 11th-minute strike from Eric Ramirez:

One crucial personnel shift at the interval, however, ultimately swung the clash in the favour of the Brazilians. The change in question? The introduction of Raphinha from the bench.

Wide-man Raphinha, on the back of another fine opening to the campaign, was handed his first-ever call-up to the Selecao squad ahead of the current international break.

In turn, with his side concerningly lacking in both ideas and guile on Thursday night, Tite opted to hand the Leeds United standout his national team debut.

And what a bow it proved…

Raphinha went on to play a role in all three goals bagged by Brazil over the course of the 2nd 45, directly teeing up strikes on the part of Marquinhos and Antony.

Raph calls mount

And, as outlined above, on the back of a 3-point haul which has since been widely labelled as more difficult than it needed to be, the Brazil faithful have since flooded to social media, to send a clear-cut message to boss Tite:
