Footage of Cristiano Ronaldo taking to the Old Trafford pitch in the colours of Manchester United has come to the fore on Thursday evening.
A fine summer all told on the red half of Manchester of course came to a spectacular head two weeks ago.
As if the high-profile additions of Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane were not enough, those in a position of power at Old Trafford set the world of football alight with their third and final reinforcement to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad.
The player brought in? 5-time Ballon d’Or winner and Reds prodigal son Cristiano Ronaldo.
After the Portuguese made clear his desire to depart Serie A heavyweights Juventus on the back of three seasons in Turin, United swooped decisively for his signature, beating out competition from neighbours Man City.
In turn, Ronaldo put pen to paper on a two-year contract at the Theatre of Dreams, coming full circle on the back of a 12-year spell away from the club.

CR7, in turn, could well be in line to make his 2nd United bow this weekend, when Solskjaer and co. play host to Newcastle, in a Premier League clash.
Such a development, however, would in fact not mark the first occasion on which the 36-year-old has stepped foot on the Old Trafford pitch in the colours of the Reds since departing over a decade ago.
This, instead, came this afternoon.
In a video no doubt set to bring a smile to the face of many a United supporter across the globe, the club, on Thursday, have posted footage of an evidently jubilant Ronaldo, fully kitted out, taking his place back inside the Theatre of Dreams.
The clip, accompanied by the simple caption ‘He’s home’, has only sent excitement levels surrounding the veteran’s comeback into overdrive, ahead of Saturday’s fast-approaching return to action:
