Premier League outfit Everton have, on Thursday, been handed an altogether timely boost on the injury front.
The subject of the treatment table at Goodison Park has of course proven a pressing one over the early months of the campaign.
This comes with new boss Rafael Benitez having seen his squad decimated by a whole host of injury blows, largely to key members of the Toffees’ setup.
The likes of Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Richarlison, Abdoulaye Doucoure, Yerry Mina and Jordan Pickford have all spent time on the sidelines, owing to respective fitness concerns.
Such woes, in turn, have seen Everton slip from early-season contenders for European football to the depths of mid-table in the Premier League.
All told, Benitez and co. are winless in the club’s last five league outings, dating back to early last month.
The news that one of the more integral members of Everton’s backline has, on Thursday, returned to first-team training will therefore no doubt be met with widespread relief on the part of all associated with the club.
In a post across their social media platforms a short time ago, the Blues confirmed that the aforementioned Mina, whose absence has directly coincided with the club’s dip in form, has linked back up with Benitez’s stars at Finch Farm:

With a full ten days before Everton return to the pitch, in a daunting Premier League trip to champions Manchester City, Mina should have ample time to recover match fitness, before taking his place back at the heart of the Merseyside outfit’s defence.
