Video: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang nets for Gabon, before responding to Arsenal fan’s ‘curse’ message

Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was back amongst the goals this evening, as Gabon secured a crucial victory over Libya.

Back amongst the goals

The name of Gunners captain Aubameyang was of course plastered across the headlines this past weekend.

Unfortunately for the ex-Borussia Dortmund man, however, this was for all the wrong reasons.

During a Premier League meeting with Watford, Arsenal’s main source of goals almost cost his side dear, fluffing his lines from the penalty spot, before getting a toe on Martin Odegaard’s goal-bound effort, only to be flagged up for offside.

In turn, when ‘Auba’ stepped up from twelve yards for his country this evening, hearts were no doubt in mouths across Gabon.

Thankfully for both his teammates and supporters across the nation, though, on this occasion the hitman held his nerve, picking out the bottom corner in confident fashion:

Aubameyang’s strike, in turn, proved enough to see his country to a potentially crucial 3-point haul, guiding Gabon clear of Libya into 2nd in the CAF World Cup qualifying Group F table in the process.

‘Curse is over’

The Arsenal star, meanwhile, has since been understandably keen to celebrate his latest key strike, taking to social media to post a series of messages over the last couple of hours.

And one such post, in the form of a reply to a member of the Gunners faithful, has caught the eye for all the right reasons:
