Manchester United transfer news

In this article, we’ll cover all of today’s Manchester United transfer news.

Jadon Sancho announcement

Jadon Sancho has already agreed a deal in principle with Manchester United and the official Twitter account of the club has informed the supporters of the news.

Borussia Dortmund will receive a very lucrative transfer fee for the player which will of course be used to reinvest in the squad and build further towards the future.

However, despite the small announcement on the Twitter accounts there has yet to be confirmation of the deal being completed.

This could however soon be about change with news breaking that announcement is expected in the next 48 hours.

Raphael Varane bid ‘insufficient’

According to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo via Sport Witness, Raphael Varane supposedly considers the contract offer by Madrid ‘insufficient.’

Los Blancos have a desire to retain him and offered him a new deal that includes a net annual salary of €7m, which is €5m short of the demands made by the 28-year-old.

Manchester United are where he would like to move and the club have the capacity to meet his salary demands.

The Frenchman would join Harry Maguire at the club and form a formidable pairing at the back.

Di Lorenzo’s agent speaks

Napoli and Italy international right-back Giovanni Di Lorenzo’s possible move to man Utd has been rubbished by his agent.

“When De Laurentiis spoke at the press conference explaining Napoli’s losses, and that all his players are transferable and that if appropriate proposals arrive, he will evaluate himself,” Mario Giuffredi said on Radio Marte.

“If proposals arrive, we are obliged to take them into consideration, also in the interest of Napoli, because it is the president himself who has put everyone on the market. So, we feel we are on the market. If an appropriate proposal arrives it’ll be discussed and considered.

“But now they are newspaper talk, I read about Manchester United but now they are newspaper talk. If there were real things, we would be the ones to communicate it to Napoli. At the moment no request has arrived.”

Thierry Small latest

Manchester United and Arsenal are said to be leading the race for Everton starlet Thierry Small.

This, according to The Athletic, comes after Small failed to return for preseason training ahead of a possible departure.

Manchester United and Arsenal are believed to be interested in luring him away, along with several other European clubs — including Bayern Munich — who are monitoring the situation of the Solihull-born defender.

The 16-year-old became Everton’s youngest ever player and there are big expectations for the youngster.
