Rangers suffered a crushing defeat at the hands of Kilmarnock on Wednesday night in a result which left the prospect of clinching the SPFL title as something of a pipe dream.
Celtic are now ten points clear at the summit of the division and Steven Gerrard’s side look unlikely to bridge that gap on current form.

And, in the aftermath of proceedings, the fans were quick to point out the players who absolutely need to step up and start showing their worth on the pitch.
One of them was also Joe Aribo, the 23-year-old who failed to influence the game against Kilmarnock.
Many of them were calling for him to be dropped in the future alongside a couple more players.
He has surely got to drop Kent and Aribo. They have not shown up in 2020.

Surely Stewart and jones will get a chance njw because at least 2 players need to be dropped after last night imo Kent and aribo.

League Done. Kent & Aribo need dropped. What’s the deal with Gerrard and subs. 🤦🏼♂️

The young midfielder, who is valued at £1.17m by Transfermarkt, is starting to frustrate fans as they feel he’s not offering them anything on the pitch – one fan even called him a passenger at best.
Another supporter also said he is too inconsistent and that it might be Gerrard’s fault for failing to motivate or properly prepare them for matches.
@RangersFC I’ve lost patience with Kent and, unfortunately, Morelos. They now need to be benched. Aribo is starting to frustrate me and Tavernier needs to look at himself in the mirror. His crossing is so poor at times. Bottle crashed again. Forget league, it’s done. Cup a must.

aribo is a passenger most weeks, he also isn’t a forward player, centre mid maybe

No improvement in the inconsistent performances of Kent or Aribo (could name more) week on week. Either SG can’t motivate or train improvement or he’s bought a couple of lightweights.

Gerrard fails to amaze me. Hagi, our most creative player gets taken off before Aribo. Aribo offered us nothing that game. Also waited until the 83rd minute to make the first substitution. #RangersFC

Finally, there were some fans who think this could be a mentality problem rather than pure skill and talent of the player.
One fan suggested Aribo is a player who is simply lacking that winning mentality and one other stated that he doesn’t’ really have a match-winning streak about him.
He will have to step up…
So who are the players who lack the winning mentality? I would suggest Halliday (sadly), Ojo, Aribo, and maybe Kamara

Halliday wasn’t the problem, I’m looking at players who should be match winners such as Kent, Aribo and Morelos to step up.
