A series of updates surrounding Premier League outfit Leeds United’s efforts on the transfer front have surfaced online on Thursday.
Before turning attentions to those being eyed by the transfer chiefs at Elland Road ahead of next season, though, it is worth taking note of an update on the future of one of those to have recently called time on his stint in West Yorkshire.
The player in question? Ezgjan Alioski.
Long-time fan favourite Alioski’s Whites exit was of course confirmed earlier this month, after the North Macedonian failed to come to an agreement on the terms of a new contract with the club.
In turn, Alioski became a free agent, with the identity of his next club, until now, having remained somewhat up in the air.
An insight into this very subject, though, has on Thursday been provided by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
And, according to the Italian, Alioski is all set for a move to Turkey. A deal between the attack-minded stopper and Super Lig giants Galatasaray is said to be at the ‘final stages’, after the collapse of talks with Patrick van Aanholt:
Deal at final stages for Alioski to Gala after talks collapsed with Patrick van Aanholt – no agreement on personal terms with the Dutch LB.

Turning our focus towards a potential arrival at Elland Road over the coming weeks, Marcelo Bielsa is said to remain hugely keen on the addition of Ryan Kent.
Rangers wide-man Kent is fresh off the back of another fine campaign at Ibrox, which saw him rack up an impressive 13 goals and 15 assists across all competitions.
Such production has seen Leeds’ boss firmly reignite his interest in luring the 24-year-old down south, to add to his options on the flank ahead of the 2021/22 campaign.
In turn, despite claims over recent days that Bielsa and co. had turned their attentions away from Kent and towards more attainable targets, it has on Thursday been assured that the Peacocks remain firmly in the hunt for his signature.
As per club employee Noel Whelan, speaking in an interview with Football Insider, Leeds are ‘not going anywhere’ when it comes to the club’s pursuit of Rangers’ star winger:
‘This has been rumbling on now for what, three years?’
‘Bielsa, Leeds, they’re not going anywhere. They still want this man to be playing for Leeds United. He’s had three more years of experience under his belt at Rangers.’
Last up when it comes to Leeds’ transfer efforts on Thursday comes an update on the Whites’ links to Nahitan Nandez.
All-action midfielder Nandez is currently plying his trade in Serie A with Cagliari, for whom he has shone across a whole host of positions over the course of the last two seasons.
The Uruguayan international is an orthodox central midfielder by trade, but is also more than capable of lining out either in a more deep-lying position, or further forward.
And such versatility has no doubt proven central to Leeds’ persistent links to Nandez ahead of the fast-approaching new season.
Whilst reports stemming from Italy late last month went as far as to suggest that a deal to take the 25-year-old to Yorkshire was all but ‘done’, however, the latest word doing the rounds in the media would suggest otherwise.
In another inside update credited to the aforementioned Fabrizio Romano, it has been assured that, as things stand, negotiations between Leeds and Cagliari are not at an advanced stage:
‘Nahitan Nandez to Leeds? At the moment no, nothing advanced yet.’
