Hendo & Kabak at CB; Klopp axes “exceptional” ace in 2 changes: Predicted Liverpool XI – opinion

Liverpool take on RB Leipzig in Budapest on Tuesday night, as they look to get their season back on track by progressing in the Champions League.

The first of the two legs has been moved to Hungary as a result of Germany’s travel restrictions.

Jurgen Klopp’s side have now suffered three defeats in a row against Brighton, Manchester City and Leicester respectively, losses which have all but ended their hopes of retaining the Premier League title.

Therefore, the German manager will undoubtedly be targeting success in the Champions League, but the Reds will have to be at their best if they want to get a positive result against Julian Nagelsmann’s side in the first leg.

Here’s how Football FanCast expects Klopp to line his side up on Tuesday, with just two changes from the side that started against Leicester…

Alisson should keep his place in goal, despite making another error in the defeat against Leicester City, when his botched clearance gifted Jamie Vardy an open goal.

The defence also stays the same, as the key to ending this poor run of form could be having some consistency at the back, and Ozan Kabak and Jordan Henderson should be allowed to continue their partnership in the absence of Fabinho.

There are two changes in midfield, as Thiago replaces James Milner after he limped off against Leicester with a hamstring issue, whilst Xherdan Shaqiri comes in the for the “exceptional” Curtis Jones, in the hope that the Swiss international can provide some goal threat from midfield.

Unsurprisingly, the front three stays the same, and Klopp will be hoping that they can help Liverpool pick up a positive result in the first leg.

And, in other news… Klopp will be fuming with Liverpool star who lost possession 45x vs Leicester; he was awful
