Man United eyeing a right-sided attacker?
Despite signing three players over the summer, Manchester United are still a bit weak on the right side of their attack.
New addition Daniel James has been the man largely tasked with filling that role at the beginning of the 2019/20 campaign.
And while the Welshman has done an ok job in said role, he is naturally a left-winger.
Man United do seem to be aware of their need to strengthen down the right as ESPN claimed earlier this month that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has identified the right-side of midfield as the priority area for strengthening.
Man United monitoring Pereira
One player who is capable of playing as a right-sided attacker and who the Red Devils look to be keeping an eye on is Matheus Pereira.
According to the Mirror, Manchester United are keeping tabs on Pereira who is currently on loan with Championship outfit West Brom from Sporting CP.
The Mirror also alleges that the Baggies have an option to sign Pereira for £8.25m but that won’t put off other admirers.
Pereira has been in top form for West Brom so far this campaign.
In 14 Championship outings, the winger has scored three and provided nine assists for table-topping West Brom.
And while Pereira has featured as an attacking midfielder for West Brom on several occasions so far this season, he is naturally a right-winger.
Throughout his career, Pereira has played as a right-winger on 48 occasions.
However, the 23-year-old can also play on the left and through the middle of midfield.
