Antonio Rudiger opened the scoring after 14 minutes from a corner:

N’Golo Kante then doubled the Londoner’s lead after 28 minutes, following up a marauding run with a long-range strike:

On an otherwise positive day for Thomas Tuchel and co., there was one rather big blow.

This came towards the end of the tie when Jorginho went down and was forced off

In terms of the potential nature of the injury, there are unconfirmed rumours that BT Sports would claim during the clash that Jorginho mouthed the word ‘hamstring’ to Kante after going down, though this is obviously not an official diagnosis, which we will likely get from Tuchel in his post-match press conference.

Chelsea, though, will be desperately hoping that it is not anything serious as they have two huge games next week, vs Juventus on Tuesday and then against Manchester United on Sunday.
