Barcelona close in on Ferran Torres
Barcelona are set to make their first signing under new manager Xavi, as Ferran Torres is on the verge of joining the club from Manchester City.
The 21-year-old only joined the Citizens in 2020, but in eighteen months Pep Guardiola’s side are set to double their money, and then some, as they look to sell for 55 million euros.

The move marks a strong change in transfer policy from the club that spent significant amounts on the likes of Miralem Pjanic, Antoine Griezmann and Philippe Coutinho, with Torres adding to a young Spanish core that includes Gavi, Pedri and Ansu Fati, to name but three.

And now, Marca have revealed the add-ons that the clubs have agreed on.
Future Ballon D’or winner
As per Fabrizio Romano, Manchester City have agreed on the potential of 10 million euros in add ons, should certain criteria be met.
And, as per Spanish outlet Marca, these are split into four categories.
Firstly, if Barcelona win the Champions League and if Torres plays 70% of the games, they will receive a further 2.5 million euros.
Then, if Ferran Torres wins either the golden boot in La Liga, or the Ballon D’or, Manchester City will receive 2.5 million euros (in each case).
Then, finally, if Xavi’s side sell Torres for a fee in excess of 100 million euros, The Citizens will be due a further 2.5 million euros.
How much of the 10 million will the Premier League side see?
