The English defender was forced off on the 71st minute, and speaking after the game, Thomas Tuchel did not seem hopeful on the situation.
The Chelsea boss said:
“It worries me because he was in such a fantastic moment, like Reece on the other side. They were in the best shape they could possibly be. So strong, full of confidence, and quality. He was in a lot of pain and now he feels a bit better.”

Chilwell set to miss the season
Now, as per the reliable Matt Law of the Telegraph, an update has been forthcoming, and it spells bad news for Chilwell and Chelsea.
Taking to Twitter, Law revealed that Chilwell is “set to miss at least the rest of the year”, thanks to ACL damage picked up on the scan of his knee.
UPDATE: Ben Chilwell set to miss at least the rest of the year with suspected ACL damage. Chelsea prepared to delay a final decision on whether he can play again this season until the New Year. Story and details here: #cfc https://t.co/SgufofKeq7

On the face of it, then, it could be interpreted as positive news, with Law revealing:
“Chelsea are preparing to allow the injury time to start to heal on its own before scanning him again, most probably in the New Year, to determine whether or not he must go under the knife.”
However, it gets worse. As per the same source:
“Should he require surgery, which currently remains a high possibility, then Chilwell will miss the rest of the season”
In his absence, Chelsea may be forced to call on Marcos Alonso, or even Saul Niguez, to fill in at wing-back.
But Chilwell’s injury will come as a hammer blow to the Blues.
