Some less than great news surrounding an injury sustained by Ben Chilwell on Tuesday has emerged on Wednesday.
Chilwell injured vs Juventus
Chelsea played host to Juventus in a Champions League clash on Tuesday evening.
The Blues headed into the game knowing that they needed to win by at least a few goals to stand any real chance of topping their group.
And, when all was said and done in west London, this is what Thomas Tuchel’s side managed.
Trevoh Chalobah, Reece James, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Timo Werner all go on the scoresheet to hand Chelsea a very dominant win, which moved them above Juventus heading into the final group stage matchweek next month.

It was not all positive news on the day, however, as the in-form Ben Chilwell went down during the second 45 and was forced to limp off.
After the game, Tuchel said this on the left-back:
“It worries me because he was in such a fantastic moment, like Reece on the other side. They were in the best shape they could possibly be. So strong, full of confidence, and quality. He was in a lot of pain and now he feels a bit better.”

Chilwell out for the season?
The update at the time did not sound that terrible from the Chelsea boss.
However, rumours have since begun to spread that Chilwell could miss the rest of the season with ACL damage.
As per Sam Inkersole of football.london, Chilwell is due to have a scan on Wednesday and no official word has been forthcoming from Chelsea yet:
