Bruno Fernandes impressing with Man United
The signing of Bruno Fernandes has proven to be one of the best bits of business Manchester United have done in years.
The Portuguese arrived at Old Trafford from Sporting CP in January of 2020, and has since gone on to completely dominate the English top-flight.
Fernandes, of course, played a key role in United securing a Champions League berth last term.
And the midfield maestro has once again been in top form this season.
In total, Fernandes has netted 28 and assisted 17 in 58 outings across all competitions this season.
Said impressive form saw Fernandes recently named as Man United’s Player of the Year.

And the Portuguese can, of course, still round out the season with his first piece of United silverware, with the Manchester powerhouse set to face Villareal in the Europa League final on Wednesday.
Fernandes responds to Cantona comparisons
Now though, Fernandes has been responding to comparisons with Eric Cantona.
The Frenchman is of course a Man United legend, with his displays helping guide the Red Devils to four Premier League titles between 1993 and 1997.
When quizzed on his comparisons to Cantona recently, Fernandes stated that it was an honour and that said comparisons makes him work harder:
“It is an honour to be compared with him because the impact he had was really high and he won many major trophies with the club.
“But when you are compared with this kind of big player it means you need to be better every day. It makes me work harder to keep in the mind of the people, being compared with him. That, for me, is a good pressure.”
