Kane wants team trophies
Kane was named the the Premier League player of the year at the London football Awards this week for 2021.
However, whilst grateful for winning the competition, the England captain and striker reiterated his desire to win more team trophies.
“When I look back at the end of my career, these are all the things I’ll go over and take in a little bit more, but the goal right now as a player is to win team trophies,” he said.
“As much as this is great, I want to be winning the biggest team prizes. We’re not quite doing that. It’s bittersweet, but it is what it is. I’m proud to win [Premier League Player of the Year], it’s been a good season on the pitch.”

Kane was on the losing side of the League Cup final on Sunday has Manchester City won a fourth straight title in a row in the competition.
There is a growing concern amongst the Tottenham fan base and club that the youth product could seek a move this summer. Especially if the club does not qualify for the Champions League.
Mason’s team in ‘pain’
Ryan Mason took charge of just his second game for Spurs in the League Cup final after Jose Mourinho was shockingly sacked just days before.
It took a late Aymeric Laporte header to seal the win for Pep Guardiola’s side but it was a tepid display from the London-based club.
Unsurprisingly the words used by Mason after the match summed up the images at the full-time whistle.
“Pain,” he said when asked what the team were feeling. “It hurts. I’ve been sitting in there as a player, I’ve played for this football club and lost a final, I know what it’s like.”
“I know that feeling. It’s normal that they’re hurting. It’s normal, because it shows that they care. And this group of players care deeply about this Football Club. I think we saw that today, they gave absolutely everything, 100 per cent commitment.
“We tried, we tried, it wasn’t enough today, that’s tough to take.”
One of those players was of course the aforementioned Kane. With doubts over his future and that of the club, could even more players be tempted by a new challenge?
Heung-min Son was seen in tears after the match. The South Korean international has been almost on par with Kane throughout his time with the club.
He too could seek pastures new for the likelihood of more trophies.
