Eric Bailly confirms dressing room change following Cristiano Ronaldo arrival at Manchester United

Ronaldo re-joins Manchester United

Cristiano Ronaldo would, of course, re-sign for Manchester United this past summer.

There was, in part due to Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane also joining the club, a lot of expectation on Ronaldo to help guide United back to the glory days.

However, that has, so far, not quite happened for the Red Devils. But whilst United as a squad has had a pretty mixed 2021/22 to date, Ronaldo himself has continued to thrive.

In 14 Premier League outings, Ronaldo has scored seven and assisted two for the Red Devils this campaign.

It is in the Champions League, however, where CR7 has truly shone. Ronaldo has scored six in five – earning United crucial points against Villarreal and Atalanta.

And, after an illustrious career around Europe for both club and country, Ronaldo also has a pretty big reputation at this point in his career.

Now, following his return to Manchester United over the summer, his presence in the dressing room looked to have been impacting United players in several ways.

One of these ways was that it was rumoured that Man United players were no longer eating dessert.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer denied these claims somewhat whilst he was still at the club:

“That’s obviously a joke made by Lee Grant in a setting with some mates, it’s not as though we were eating junk food before he came in and he’s changed it all.

Now though, Eric Bailly has come out to confirm that players have indeed stopped eating dessert:

“No, we’ve stopped [eating dessert. All the players stopped because it’s good, you need to change sometime.

“Ronaldo has been the best for a long time, why? Your body, you need to take care of it.”
