‘Possible-although unlikely’: After West Ham confirm signing of Alex Kral, update on one more potential incoming before window shuts emerges

West Ham United have announced another deadline day signing on Tuesday evening.

The Hammers would confirm earlier in the day that they had secured the services of Nikola Vlasic from CSKA Moscow:

This was the followed by reports from Russia that West Ham were eyeing a move for Czech midfielder, Alex Kral:

Spartak Moscow chief Evgeny Melezhikov would then state that Kral was leaving the club and that they had agreed terms with West Ham:

And now, West Ham have officially confirmed the signing of the midfielder:

The deal, as per West Ham, sees the 23-year-old join the London outfit on a season-long loan with a view to making the move permanent.

After landing Kral, David Moyes had this to say on the midfielder:

“I am delighted to welcome Alex to West Ham United,” said Moyes. “He will provide good competition in the centre of midfield. He is another young, talented player who we feel has a big potential and will be capable of adapting to the demands of the Premier League.

“We’ve brought him in on loan initially and, hopefully, over the course of the season he will make a valuable contribution, particularly with our busier schedule of fixtures.

“Alex is another established international player with the Czech Republic, and we hope he has similar characteristics and hunger to that of Tomas and Vladimir.”

Will West Ham sign anyone else?

Following the news of Kral signing, ExWHUemployee – a reliable source of news when it comes to West Ham – has stated that it is possible, though unlikely, that a young player, possibly costing less than £1m, could sign for West Ham before the window shuts:
